a frog factory

I'm starting to feel like I am working in a frog factory. I don't exactly get 2 done a day, but I keep chugging ( or should I say hopping) along. I will say, if I didn't have my Bernina, these poor little frogs wouldn't get made at all.
I start out tracing my frog shape on 2 layers of fabric right sides together. ( hmmm, what would happen if I used 2 different fabrics right sides together, a reversible frog? ) I set my Bernina on a 1.4 stitch length. I want to make sure that these frogs don't open up. I stitch on the pencil line, using my freehand system to raise and lower my presser foot, all the while keeping my hands on my work. This comes in really handy on the little frog toes and little frog fingers. I cut my frog out, leaving a small seam allowance. Then I turn my frog inside out. Add some stuffing, some plastic bean bag fillers, stitch up his leg and we have a frog. I'm up to 9.
They have no eyes... I'm going to let the kids glue them on, I'll get a selection of different colored wiggle eyes for them to pick from.
Back to my frogs. Have a great day everyone.
