Eloise the elephant.... with an Amy Butler twist

Our Eloise the elephant class was last Saturday. Mary Miller brought her finished elephant in today, and bought fabric for about 4 more. This elephant is fun to make. We have the pattern at the store.
If you have 4 people that would like to make the elephant, just call and let us know, we can give you your own class in it.

You know it is hot when......

I ask my husband to put my air conditioner in my sewing room. My sewing room is small and usually I can stick a fan in it and be pretty comfortable. My son took my fan to his new apartment, so out came the air conditioner. I spent my day cleaning out my sewing room. I found about 15 unfinished projects, lots of fabric I forgot I bought, and lots of other assorted stuff. 3 large trash bags later, my room is pretty clean, and I have a nice donation of fabric to Project Linus.
I may even pull out one of those UFO's.
This new dotted fabric collection arrived this week. Do I see UFO number 16 in the future.....

Our friend Alice came in yesterday with her "finished" pickle dish quilt. She inspired me to pull mine out to finish it. This is beautiful. Thanks for sharing it with us Alice.

Summer Schedule is up on the website

shoelaces

When I first discovered this project, I thought it was pretty silly. I just finished my first shoelace, and I am here to admit, it is kind of fun. Best part is, it is fast and easy. What a neat way to make an old pair of shoes, look like new, or a new pair of shoes look even better. This is going to be a class in the new schedule.

I am finishing up the new schedule for the website this week. Here is a sneak peak at one of our new classes. We are calling our schedule, the Lazy Days of Summer Schedule.

We have kits made up for this quilt. You will get 30 ten inch batik squares, you cut them, shuffle them and end up with this beautiful quilt.

I'm in trouble again

I found this fabric on the shelf this afternoon. I knew I liked it, but then I opened it, and now I love it. I had to find it some friends.... here I go again.....

Meet Elmore

I finished this in about 2 hours. This is Elmore, she is the little elephant in the Elmore and Eloise pattern. Isn't she adorable? I used corduroy for her body and flannel for her hands, feet and ears.
