Another beauty from Lois

Lois finished her Alpine Lake Quilt.  It is just beautiful.  She does such beautiful work.  This class is going to be a great one!
These new fun striped fabrics came this week

and someone started a quilt with them......
I know it isn't even Halloween yet, but these pretty Valentine fabrics came

along with these cuddly minkee fabrics.
And we are getting ready for our Jelly Roll Races

First this week we are getting ready for another Quilt Shop wedding.  Ginny's daughter is getting married next Saturday.  Here we go again!  :)
Our classes start this week at the Quilt Shop-  Groovy Girls tomorrow morning at 10, then the store will open at 12-4.  Stop in to see our newest fabrics and goodies!

I absolutely love this kinky. What is the best process to sew kinky, because I have a problem with it stretching?

Ooops I mean Minkee.

I love your Alpine Lake quilt. I was going to make this pattern for my daughter's wedding quilt and I had such a heck of a time getting the first block to lie flat that I changed patterns. If I struggled with one block, I certainly did not want to do a queen sized quilt out of this. What was your secret? Your's turned out beautifully.

Wow, great comments today.
To sew Minkee... use your walking foot or dual feed feature on your machine. And.... pin pin pin.

Lois is a precise cutter and piecer. We have a class on this quilt Mimi, but if you aren't close enough to see us, I will ask Lois her secret. I know she makes sure her strips are straight, and she does pin everything when she goes to sew it together.
Also, I think the directions in this book are wonderful. It is from the book, Summer at the Lake.
If you would like, we could send it to you.
Don't give up! You will do it!

Is "Summer at the Lake" a published book that I can get a hold of? or is it for your class. I broke down and make my daughter a triple Irish chain for her wedding, but I do love this pattern and would like to try it ....even for myself.
